Ivony’s artistic expressions weave together a variety of techniques—from gouache and oil paintings to digital art and surface design. Alongside her primary focus on painting and sketching, she carries knowledge in fiber arts—skills honed in her youth through spinning, knitting, and crochet, and more recently explored through tufting experiments on Instagram. While these textile pursuits play a smaller role in her everyday practice, they inform her broader understanding of materials, texture, and design—vital groundwork as she shapes her future in fashion. Each medium speaks to Ivony’s underlying vision: that creativity knows no boundaries and the threads of art can stitch together unexpected connections across multiple forms.

A passion for theater lies at the core of Ivony’s practice. Growing up in stage productions, she discovered early on how makeup, costumes, and narrative combine to create transformative experiences. After high school, Ivony attended beauty school, earning dual licensure in West Virginia and New York—skills she’s used both behind the scenes and as a performer. Whether designing a character’s persona through hair and makeup or stepping into the spotlight herself, Ivony sees each performance as a dialogue with the audience—an invitation to suspend disbelief and enter a realm where art and life merge. This theatrical spirit energizes her entire creative portfolio, ensuring every piece tells a story beyond its surface.
Life & Inspiration
Ivony’s day-to-day life is rooted in the idea that magic can be found everywhere. Her Appalachian heritage echoes through her choice of hues, while subtle references to sacred iconography hint at a fascination with the mystical. From gathering color inspiration on a morning walk to sketching future pattern ideas late into the night, she sees each experience as an opportunity to create.
Food and wine are also part of Ivony’s creative palette. She learned to cook at a young age at her grandmother’s kitchen table, developing a deep appreciation for communal, hands-on artistry. At 21, Ivony trained as an herbalist, cultivating an intimate connection with nature’s healing and flavor potential. In November 2024, she passed her introductory sommelier course with the Court of Master Sommeliers, rounding out her holistic approach to taste and nourishment. For Ivony, the ways we cook, share meals, and appreciate a fine glass of wine are living testaments to how art can flourish in our most essential daily rituals.
