Who’s Behind Vitae Inter Alia?
A Path Forged Through Resilience
Ivony’s life has been shaped by trials that few can imagine. From enduring a difficult childhood with an alcoholic parent to the unimaginable heartbreak of losing her second child at just two days old, she has faced moments of profound darkness. Later, after surviving a 12-year abusive relationship, she found the courage to leave her home state and rebuild her life elsewhere. Though harrowing, these experiences ignited an unwavering determination to seek out beauty in every corner of existence.
Nurturing Roots & Transformative Healing
From infancy through various points in her youth, Ivony was raised by her grandmother on a family farm. This period was both a haven and a battleground—a place where she learned essential life skills like cooking, canning, and sewing, yet could not entirely escape her family’s deep-seated dysfunction. In spite of it all, those early lessons formed the bedrock of her creativity and sense of self-reliance. Her grandmother’s influence instilled in her an abiding belief that simple, deliberate acts can bloom into something meaningful, even in the face of adversity.
Art as a Lifeline
Over time, Ivony discovered that artistic expression was more than just an outlet—it was a lifeline. The hardships she endured became catalysts for personal growth, fueling a tireless pursuit of self-discovery. She immersed herself in holistic practices—becoming a licensed cosmetologist in 2006, training as an herbalist at 21, and later passing the introductory sommelier course in November 2024—all while exploring painting, textile work, and performance art. In each venture, Ivony found fresh opportunities to transform pain into purpose.
Carrying the Light Forward
Today, Ivony channels her experiences into Vitae Inter Alia, infusing every painting, performance, and project with a quiet conviction that even the darkest chapters can spur renewal. If her story shows anything, it’s that resilience is woven from many threads—some painful, some joyful—and that true artistry lies in embracing them all. By sharing her journey, Ivony hopes to inspire others to acknowledge their own scars, harness their own courage, and discover the art hidden within their everyday lives.
